Open Air Cinema is heading to Groombridge Place!
We are pleased to announce we will be having Cinestock, UK's largest independant Open and Drive-In Cinema company, partner with us this summer bringing a selection of fantastic films for you all to enjoy.
Come along to Groombridge Place with your friends or your family, BYOB... bring your own blanket... and sit in front of our largest screening of some fantastic movies. Where else can you catch a classic film, and enjoy views of the 17th Century Manor House and Gardens?
We will be presenting three films this summer:
Pride and Prejudice
4th August 2017
To commemorate 200 years since the passing of Jane Austin on 18th July 1817, our Open Air Cinema Season kicks off with the film adaptation of the classic British novel Pride & Prejudice. Filmed here at Groombridge Place, we give you the unique opportunity to see the film and enjoy the location in which was used for the Bennett's house in one evening. Not only a great lady film but also perfect for the family and couples.

We bring you the American classic Grease with its iconic sound track and the ultimate heart throb of John Travolta. Perfect for couples, families and the ladies. We screen what is most likely one of the most watched films of all time at the stunning Groombridge Place.
23rd September 2017
Disney’s biggest grossing film to date The Lion King is on the cards for this evening with an awesome musical score to accompany the excellent story line. This might be animation but it’s loved by kids big or small and perfect for families, couples and everyone.

Wizards, Magic & Monsters 7th August - 20th August 2017 10am - 5:30pm
Delve into the magical world of Wizards and Monsters with our fun themed event. Meet the colourful characters of olde Groombridge witness the magic of the Wizard and his friends during this fun filled family event.
Big Fish Little Fish Pirate themed Family Rave in the woods with DJ Slipmatt 23rd Setember 2017 2pm - 4pm
Back once again like the renegade master ........
Due to overwhelming popularity Big Fish Little Fish family rave will grace Groombridge Place woods one more time this year with rave legend DJ Slipmatt (SL2/World of rave) on the decks!
Avast me Hearties! Walk the planks and clamber over the pirate boats at this Pirate themed family rave. A world of music, dance, craft and fun for families (aimed particularly for families with children aged 0-8 years but all ages welcome) that has won Best Family Event for 3 years running at The Arts Council National Family Arts Festival Awards and this year also won all 3 Audience Choice Awards for Best Event, Best venue and Best Welcome.
Dress up as a pirate or sea creature and let yourself go to the bangin' choons of the rave master DJ Slipmatt. Throw some shapes in the open air to his classic mix of old skool, house, techno and drum'n'bass. With glitter cannons, bubble machines, giant balloons and a huge parachute finale, this will be a treasure trove of an event!
Captain Cookie's craft tables and giant colouring murals complement the theme - older children can make accessories and receive free transfer tattoos and the littlies will adore playing at the play-doh table.
With licensed bars, great food on sale and a chill out area for babies there is something for everyone. As this is an outdoor event we can only accept cash as payment, Please also note appropriate clothing must be worn depending on the weather. Prams/Buggies cannot be taken into the Rave area as space is limited - We will have a supervised buggy park to leave them
All this and home by teatime! .

Spooktacular Fun this Halloween at Groombridge Place 23rd October - 29th October 2017 10am - 4:00pm
Come along to Groombridge Place this Halloween for a scaryingly good time - Meet the ghouls and goblins that live in the enchanted forest, Interactive story telling and frighteningly good shows - not one to be missed this October holiday.
Scarefest Evenings 27th - 31st October 2017 7pm - 10pm
Many myths surround the disappearance of the once world famous Alfonzo Circus, travelling the UK during the summer of 1965 to rave reviews the troupe headed to Kent and that was the last time anyone saw of them or so we thought! Venture deep into the forest at Groombridge Place this Halloween and see if the sightings are true! Will you make it out alive? This experience is not for the faint hearted and not suitable for children under 12 years old. Make it through the woods and enjoy drinks BBQ and much more!

Join the Elves this Christmas time at Groombridge Place we have lots to see and do. We will have Elf story telling, Santa letting writing & Christmas theme crafts along with a theatrical show. Santa will also be here in his grotto! *additional charges apply for grotto visits and must be pre booked*
