Throughout August you can visit Groombridge Place Enchanted Forest & Gardens for a wonderful family outdoor adventure.
Play on the giant NERF laser arena (Monday to Friday throughout August). Peter Pan & Tink will be visiting on 20 and 21 August.
Megablaster World NERF laser arena (Monday to Friday) No prebooking necessary and half hour sessions will be £5. Suitable for 3 upwards as mum or dad can play for free with under 3’s (Admission to Groombridge Place applies). (please note the laser blasters are unable to operate in the rain).
Peter Pan & Tink will be entertaining visitors on 20 and 21 August at Crusoe’s World. The outdoor stage in a forest clearing will have a life size storybook – ideal for photos with Peter Pan and Tink!
Organised by Once Upon a Wish Events, Tink will be teaching younger visitors how to be a good fairy! Both characters will be singing and dancing on stage while encouraging plenty of audience participation with themed games and activities.
Crusoe’s World is the perfect backdrop for this fairytale adventure as the pirate setting includes a wooden fort, pirate ship and rope bridges.
The wider forest is also waiting to be discovered with a pathway which leads you deep into the beautiful forest past water pools, huge oak trees and a large spiders web before entering Teepee Village with its wigwams, giant totem pole and new wooden fort.
The GIANT TREE SWINGS have been renovated and are now open for visitors to enjoy. They can be found at various points around the Forest including Swing Walk at the top of the forest.
Look out for the steam trains in the distance as the Spa Valley Railway runs trains to Groombridge Station from Tunbridge Wells and Eridge Stations.
The canal boat will be operating daily to take visitors on a relaxing journey along the canal to Crusoe’s World. Fares £1.50 for adults and £1 for children.
The popular Birds of Prey Shows will take place daily at 12 noon and 3.30 with a variety of impressive birds including owls, eagles and falcons.
Look out for the splendid peacocks which are often found in the renowned gardens which overlook the impressive historic moated manor house which was used in the 2002 film ‘Pride and Prejudice’ starring Keira Knightley.
Being surrounded by beautiful countryside, Groombridge Place is also a relaxing place to enjoy peace and quiet and observe all the wildlife which has made the Enchanted Forest home including a herd of wild Fallow Deer often seen grazing at the edge of the meadows.
A refreshment corner at Crusoe’s World offers freshly prepared BBQ food in addition to hot and cold drinks and snacks. Peacock café near admissions also offer plenty of tasty choices as well as ‘Little Explorer’ lunch boxes, ploughman’s and homemade muffins in addition to ice creams and hot and cold drinks.
An extensive gardening section has recently been opened for visitors to enjoy with beautiful summer plants available to purchase for your own garden.
