Tickets cannot be resold, exchanged, transferred to another date or refunded.
A group is 4 people which can be family or friends.
WHY HAVEN’T MY TICKETS ARRIVED WHICH WERE PURCHASED ONLINE
Please note that tickets booked using a Hotmail and some other well-known e-mail address will go into your junk or spam folder and are usually then deleted after 10 days and so please download your tickets as soon as you have purchased them.
You will be asked to show your online tickets at admissions on arrival.
Pre-walking infants are free. Children who are walking and under 12 can access the attraction with a child ticket. Children aged 12 and above will require an adult ticket.
WHAT DISCOUNT APPLIES TO CARERS?
Disabled visitors should purchase one normal entry ticket and one carer can accompany for free on production of a benefit Award Letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (e.g. for Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance or Incapacity Benefit). PLEASE NOTE THE CARER DOES NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A PHYSICAL TICKET FOR ENTRY, JUST A BENEFITS LETTER.
CAN I BUY AN ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP?
We are not currently selling annual memberships to Groombridge Place
2. All About The Attraction
WHICH AREAS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN TO VISITORS AT GROOMBRIDGE PLACE
The Enchanted Forest includes Crusoe’s World, The Board Walk, The Fort Area, Tepees, The Canal Walk. The café and a small maze near the entrance to the attraction. The Gardens are also open but please note they are being renovated. The giant chess set can still be enjoyed in the garden. Birds of Prey displays take place every day the attraction is open at 12 noon and 3.30. The shows are included in the admission price. The canal boat operates at weekends and in school holidays and is £1.50 for adults and £1 for children.
THE FOLLOWING AREAS ARE CLOSED OR HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND WILL NO LONGER BE OPEN TO VISITORS
The treetop walkway and the swings on swing walk at the very top of the Enchanted Forest have been removed following a winter safety check on the supporting tress. New Giant Swings will be installed in time for the summer school holidays
DO WE HAVE WHEELCHAIRS AVAILABLE AND HOW TO BOOK ONE?
We do not have wheelchairs available at Groombridge Place. The gardens and the Canal Path to Crusoe’s World are flat and there only a shallow inclide to reach the birds of prey field.
WHICH DATES DO YOU OPEN IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS?
Groombridge Place is now open Wednesday to Sunday and daily in school holidays.
GROOMBRIDGE PLACE OPENING TIMES
Spring/Summer: Open daily 10am to 5pm. Last admission at 4pm. Gates close at 5pm
Winter: Open Wednesday through to Sunday and School Holidays 10am to 4pm. Last admission 3pm. Gates close at 4pm
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
There is free parking at the attraction and disabled places close to the admissions gate.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED IN THE GROUNDS?
No, only assistance dogs are allowed into Groombridge Place
ARE CHILDREN’S SCOOTERS ALLOWED INTO THE GROUNDS?
Footballs, scooters, bikes, rollerblades, skateboards etc are not allowed into the attraction.
FOOD AT GROOMBRIDGE PLACE
We have a new catering company at Groombridge Place who are serving delicious coffees, teas and homemade cakes including gluten free options. Other delicious food options will be available from the cafe near admissions and at Crusoe’s World.
There is also a BBQ at Crusoe’s World offering delicious burgers and vegetarian options every weekend and daily in school holidays.
CAN WE VISIT THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT PAYING ENTRY?
We require all visitors to purchase admission tickets before entering the attraction to ensure we keep to our set maximum number of visitors at Groombridge Place on any one day.
ARE PICNICS ALLOWED IN THE GROUNDS?
We have two eating areas where fresh food and hot and cold drinks can be enjoyed which are purchased from our café near the entrance or at Crusoe’s World.
Picnics are only allowed in the picnic fields next to the Birds of Prey field. There are no benches in these fields so please bring your own chairs or picnic mat.
No food is allowed in the Birds of Prey field. You will be asked to move
